During your Design Your Own Glass Mug session, you’ll choose your mug shape, 1–2 colors, and preferred handle style. Then, relax and enjoy the show as the instructor handcrafts your custom piece in the hot shop, narrating each step of the glassblowing process along the way.
This beginner-friendly experience offers an engaging introduction to glassblowing through live demonstration and guided design choices. While participants do not handle hot glass, you play an active role in shaping the look and feel of your finished mug.
Each 25-minute session includes the design and creation of one mug. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! Perfect for friends and family looking for a fun, interactive (and hands-off) experience.
Pickup Instructions: Due to required kiln cooling, completed pendants will be ready for gallery pickup within 7 days.
Age: No age limit for design-your-own hands-off activities, but children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Waivers: All students and parents of minor students are required to read and sign a waiver, which indicates all of the safety risks involved with glassmaking and provides contact information.
Impairment: Students are not permitted to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during class.
