Learn the art of mosaic in this introductory course at Foci Minnesota Center for the Glass Arts! Participants will choose an image and create their own pattern. We’ll learn about selecting stained glass, cutting tesserae (the pieces used to construct a mosaic), and adhering the glass to a GoBoard substrate. In our final session we’ll apply grout to complete the project. The finished piece will be a 12”x12” mosaic panel that can either be hung on a wall or displayed on a frame easel. Working outside of class time is not required, but recommended.
No experience required. All materials and tools are provided and included in the class cost.
4-week course, 12 hours of class time total. Offered quarterly.
Limited to 8 seats. Minimum of 3 students.
