During this intermediate class students receive in-depth instruction to practice and refine their skills. Students focus on the completion of a individual neon project while learning tighter bends with smaller tubing and how to work with phosphor coat tubes to get a variety of colors. This class also provides detailed instruction on the use of transformers, outdoor installation, and how to wire projects. Working outside of class time is not required, but recommended to practice skills between classes - currently enrolled students receive discounted studio rental rates for the duration of their workshop.
Prerequisite: Completed Intro to Neon or equivalent experience is required. Open to ages 14 years and older.
$545/person. All materials are provided.
6-week course, 18 hours of class time total. Offered semiannually.
