Beadmaking Tech Sessions are 3-hour classes focused on a specific technique or skill that helps students advance their beadmaking abilities. These are structured lessons—not Open Torch sessions—designed for students who are ready to actively practice and build on skills introduced in previous classes.
Lines and wraps allow the artist to make more intricate designs than dots alone allow. Students will learn/practice laying down lines and raps on their beads. Skills include Saturn wraps, spiral wraps, sine wave wraps, longitudinal lines, curlicue lines, and heat control to regulate raised or flush surfaces on beads. This course works with soft glass COE104.
Prerequisite: Students must already be able to make basic bead shapes without assistance. Prerequisite classes include Beadmaking Glass Discovery experience, Intro to Beadmaking, or equivalent experience. Open to ages 14 and up.
