Call for Entries - ‘Midwest Voices in Contemporary Glass’ at Cafesjian Art Trust

The Cafesjian Art Trust Museum is hosting its first juried exhibition of glass art from the Midwest region and has opened up a call for entries.

Midwest Voices in Contemporary Glass: A Juried Exhibition 

June 14, 2024 - October 5, 2024 

The CAT Museum is located just outside of Saint Paul in Shoreview, Minnesota, and has a collection of over 3,500 objects including contemporary art and Studio Glass. 15 works will be selected and shown in conjunction with a larger exhibition surveying the history of Studio Glass told through the museum's permanent collection. Both exhibitions will open to the public on June 14th and will run through October 5th 

To enter, please submit up to 5 digital images of a single work along with your CV, artist's statement, and written description of your submission. If you are planning a piece to create for the show, please indicate that in your entry. 

The artwork must be made of glass, or feature glass as a major element of the artwork. You must live or attend school in the Midwest region (Nebraska, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.) 

  • For pedestal artwork: Dimensions cannot exceed 36 h x 17 w x 17 d inches. 

  • For wall hanging work: Dimensions cannot exceed 24 h x 24 w x 24 d inches. 

If your work requires electricity or another type of special accommodation, please indicate that in your written description. 

Please submit your entries to info@cafesjianarttrust.org no later than March 1st, 2024 at midnight.
