Executive Director Announcement

Greetings Everyone,

I am reaching out today to announce my departure from Foci MCGA. I am so proud of all the work that has been accomplished over my six years on the Foci MCGA staff. Along with several strong board members and donors, I have been dedicated to ensuring the long-term success of Foci MCGA.

Over the years, I have seen this organization transform and Foci MCGA is well positioned for the future. With the move completed and operations recovering, I was looking forward to enjoying the fruits of my labor. However, a new opportunity presented itself that I could not pass up. While I am departing my position as a staff member, I am looking forward to continuing to work on Foci MCGA’s behalf as an ambassador, advisor, volunteer, and member artist. I believe in Foci MCGA and the impact it can have on our city and art community. I believe that art centers like Foci MCGA are important places of healing and can be centers to inspire change. Foci MCGA holds an important role to ensure that glass artists are successful, and that glass education is available to all who seek it.

So today, the Board of Directors are launching the search for Foci’s next Executive Director and I am so excited for the opportunity to continue our mission work with a new leader. This transition will take several months, so if I don’t see you before I hope you will join us at the Grand Opening of our new studio in October to celebrate this transition!
